A Web-based system that manages job roles and related competencies of relevance to the furniture industry, allows to perform competence assessments and to share a knowledge base of information catalogued according to those competencies. As such, this system acts as training support tool, enabling users to identify skills gaps and related training needs, and will point them directly to appropriate resources to meet those needs. The system will be multilingual: user interface and job profiles will be available in all the consortium languages (English, French, Italian, Spanish). LILAC will be built on a prototype, already available, developed and validated during 2 previous ESF Article 6 projects (KnowMove and Change-Up). Training pathways on topics relevant to the furniture industry connecting a number of e-learning modules (knowledge pills or learning objects) related to one or more job profiles identified in the system. These e-learning modules will be available in all the consortium languages.
